Job Title: Event Planner
Location: 2 T.W. Alexander Drive Research Triangle Park NC 27709
Hybrid - in office 3 days/week remote 2 days/week
Shift Timings: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and/or events or meeting planner certification or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Four plus years of event management experience preferably within a corporate large venue or event management capacity.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a proven record of success in planning managing and executing multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels with the ability to succinctly convey updates and project plans.
- Experience managing mid- to large-size budgets with advanced knowledge of contractual language pertaining to meetings and events and significant experience negotiating with vendors.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Adaptability to situations and ever-changing demands with a high level of organization to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience with event registration systems and event mobile app platforms.
Responsibilities:
- We are looking for an Events Planner to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park NC. Clients Agricultural Solutions division connects innovation customers partners and agricultural experts and integrates sustainability criteria into all business decisions. We help farmers deliver the best possible outcomes working to achieve the balance between economic environmental and social value creation for sustainable and efficient agriculture.
- As an Events Planner you will manage plan and execute multiple complex and concurrent events to support the APN business in the USA. This includes producing and managing all aspects of high-quality events utilizing digital environments and other technology platforms. You will need excellent stakeholder and project management skills to ensure the alignment of event logistics with clear results-focused execution and the ability to identify efficiencies and improvements to the events strategy. You will need to be able to travel up to 25% overnight in this role.
- Planning and project-managing large high-visibility tradeshows customer events internal conferences and media events to create an exceptional experience that aligns with business and stakeholder expectations.
- Overseeing logistics for events including event space contracts agenda planning AV requirements meeting room setups equipment and labor menu selection speaker coordination sponsorship management decor signage collateral graphics transportation and event reconciliation and reporting.
- Ensuring clear communication with stakeholders throughout the planning and execution phases to guarantee alignment and satisfaction.
- Developing and managing relationships with vendors to secure necessary services and products for successful event execution ensuring quality and adherence to budget constraints.
- Traveling to and managing all aspects of events on-site ensuring smooth execution of logistics and that the event meets established goals and objectives.
- Identifying industry trends and best practices to improve event efficiency cost savings and execution while assisting team members with events as needed.
Comments/Special Instructions
- Assignment Duration - through December 30 2025 with the possibility to extend for up to 2 years
