BuyerPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Plans schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials. Purchases materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels. Gathers quotations examines bids and makes awards. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Obtains materials components and equipment. Evaluates vendor reliability develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitors cost schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
The Buyer is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities with production control operations/manufacturing and engineering teams to acquire inventory in the most cost effective and timely manner. This individual will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining a technical understanding of products purchased and will perform volume planning for major commodities. Will monitor and report on purchase price variances and will evaluate supplier reliability regarding on time delivery. Day to day responsibilities will also include:

Base Salary Range: $66255.97 USD to $89640.43 USDFactors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market skills education experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
