DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a County Fiscal Officer 2 you will be responsible for the daily operations and overall fiscal management of the Delaware County Department of Human Services administrative program fund and accounts payable unit. The primary focus of this position involves budgeting accounting and closing of the Department of Human Services administrative ledgers using various cost accounting formulas in collaboration with responsible fiscal staff. Strong leadership skills are essential as you will also provide guidance and supervision to a team of fiscal staff.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a County Fiscal Officer 1;or
  • Four years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associates degree that includes six college credits in accounting;or
  • Two years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelors degree that includes six college credits in accounting;or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
