BENEFITS ANALYST (LEAVES OF ABSENCES)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with design implementation and day-to-day administration of benefit programs including health & welfare benefit plans 401(k) plan and other employee services
- Support annual benefits open enrollment planning and execution. Help develop effective communication strategy to educate and reach diverse employee population
- Advise and counsel employees and dependents on day-to-day benefit-related questions (via email phone walk-ups and drop-in sessions)
- Partner with finance payroll HRIS legal and vendors to effectively and efficiently perform all aspects of benefit program management including ensuring accuracy of benefit deductions and streamlining current processes and procedures to ensure proper data flow to relevant parties
- Assist with provider premium billing statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Keep abreast of policies legislative changes and legal requirements such as ERISA HIPAA and the Affordable Care Act to assist with plan compliance efforts.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
- Company wellness initiatives and employee services
- Commuter program support
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree
- 2 years of human resources experience in a generalist or benefits background
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Benefits or human resources certification and affiliations (CEBS PHR etc.)
- Ability to use independent judgment and prioritize work
- Demonstrated excellence thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal written and presentation communication skills
- Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office especially Excel
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Highly collaborative style and strong team orientation
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple high-priorities in a fast-paced loosely structured environment
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This isnot a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne CA area
- Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours or weekends when needed
- Ability to travel to other SpaceX offices as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Benefits Analyst/Level I: $80000.00 - $100000.00/per year
Benefits Analyst/Level II: $90000.00 - $115000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of company stock stock options or long-term cash awards as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
