Is responsible for the coordination and delivery of primary care as specified by the appropriate certifying agency to BMG patients at designated work sites. Be on their and delivers primary and nursing care in collaboration with the Practice Site Physician by:Working within the approved scope of practice as designated for this type of complete medical history and physical data on and integrating data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as a complete physical exam and recording findings. Collaborating with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of appropriate laboratory and diagnostic data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of medications and injections according to physician direction. Suturing minor and advising patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommending community resources to meet patient and family patient and family regarding medications and treatment and reviewing patient records charts and other pertinent information. Education and ExperienceThe knowledge skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelors degree in Nursing. A valid and current RN license in the state of Indiana is required. The successful completion of a nurse practitioner program with applicable national certification is required. Two years of clinical nursing experience in practice area and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner six month internship for new graduates or comparable experience is required. Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. Attainment of prescriptive authority or successful completion of applicable course work and pass state board exam to obtain prescriptive authority within six months of hire date.
