Summary

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in planning and scheduling shipments as well as processing claims for LTL carriers and FedEx/UPS. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in handling customer credits returns and refunds with accuracy and empathy. A Customer First Always mindset is essential to thrive in this role and align with our service-focused culture. This position supports the CES Online division and is based at our headquarters office located in downtown Dallas TX.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate shipments based on warehouse needs including large LTL (Less Than Truckload) orders.
  • Create shipping labels and coordinate logistics for product returns from branches and customers.
  • Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation and maintain detailed records of shipping and returns activities.
  • Generate outbound bill of ladings and calculate freight costs as needed.
  • Schedule delivery and pickup appointments with carriers for Distribution Centers.
  • Communicate expedite requests and scheduling changes to relevant teams and departments.
  • Track and follow up on claims for lost damaged or delayed shipments to recover shipping value and product costs.
  • Provide shipping quotes to customers via phone and email ticketing system in a timely and professional manner.
  • Research and investigate customer issues using internal systems and available resourcesapproach each case with attention to detail and a Sherlock Holmes mindset understanding that not all scenarios are black and white.
  • Process and issue credits and returns accurately ensuring proper approvals and adherence to internal guidelines.
  • Deliver empathetic customer care throughout the returns and credit process balancing policy enforcement with client satisfaction.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers coworkers and supervisors to ensure a high level of service and collaboration.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement in shipping and returns processes.
  • Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work full-time or overtime if necessary.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years experience within a customer service support atmosphere.
  • Background in the electrical field and product knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications.
