Job Description
Grinders are responsible for performing class C/B grinding and finishing work on sheet metal products for secondary operations with low cosmetic visibility.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Prepare and operate standard hand grinders.
- Deburr buff and or polish materials to specifications.
- Examines and feels surface of product for defects.
- Removal of defects scratches excess weld material and burs to produce a smooth unmarred surface.
- Prepare products for secondary operations such as powder coating by achieving a Class C/B finish with low cosmetic visibility.
- Ensure that safety devices guards are operative and follow safety protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
- Vision abilities requires close distance color peripheral and depth
- Required to lift push pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. continually.
- May be required to stoop bend kneel crouch or crawl.
- Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
