The Department of Health is seeking a Registry Specialist with a background in health information management to join our team at the Division of Statistical Registries. As a Registry Specialist you will implement and operate components of the statewide public health registries overseen by the Division of Statistical Registries. This will include a variety of professional tasks required to support the Pennsylvania Birth and Death Registries. Your duties will include overseeing and monitoring compliance with reporting requirements as well as analyzing and editing reported case information for incorporation into registries. In this position you will act as a registry field representative establish and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders and assist them in developing quality assurance programs in accordance with statutory and funding guidelines. You can expect to advise health care professionals on the most effective reporting procedures to ensure compatibility between individual health information systems and registry reporting requirements. Additionally you will provide oversight and monitoring of compliance with applicable statutes.
