Job Description
Duxbury Middle School is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Special Education Teacher (Anticipated) - 2 positions.
Requirements:
- Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with SEI Endorsement - Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities PreK - 8 or 5-12.
- Bachelors Degree or higher from accredited college or university
- Classroom management skills that support students social emotional learning
- Instruction and classroom management skills that support students access to the general education curriculum content by providing specially designed instruction- Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners
- Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
- Citizenship residency or work visa required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Orton-Gillingham Reading instructional practices
