Astutes People is partnering with a leading solid fuel plant owner and operator to recruit a Plant Operator for its plant in Essex County MA.
The Plant Operator role comes with a rate of $45 to $59 per hour sign on bonus and benefits..

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will:
- Monitor and operate boiler plant.
- Log and adjust boiler combustion rates steam flows and emissions.
- Direct train and motivate Assistant Operators Utility Operators and Assistant Plant Operators.
- Conduct and manage plant walk rounds.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A 2nd Class Stationary Engineers licence.
- Experience operating solid fuel power plant is desirable.
- Experience as am Assistant Plant Operator or 5 years experience gained in a power plant setting.
Personal skills
The Plant Operator role would suit someone who is:
- Happy working on a rotating shift pattern.
- Computer literate.
- Detailed orientated with strong attention to detail.
