If you are an HVACRprofessional looking for an opportunity to grow Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney OH location you will workin conjunction with product engineers to design develop and qualify compressors for HVACR systems. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering are seeking a 2nd shift C02 laboratory technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation.
AS A MECHANICAL TECHNICIANYOU WILL:
- Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to performtest compressors.
- Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for test purposes.
- Operate laboratory test equipment including C02 stands calorimeters durability life test stands data acquisition systems and other measuring equipment used to acquire compressor performance characteristics.
- Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests.
- Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards.
- Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab.
- You will be responsible for completing required testsand communicatingtest resultswith engineers.
- You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.
REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Associates degreeplus two to three (2-3) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have basic HVAC mechanical and electrical skills
- Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
SCHEDULE:
This position is on 2nd shiftand would consist of four ten-hour work days or five-eight-hour work days and would be eligible for voluntary overtime.

Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney who all support a multitude of business functions.
