If you are an experienced Software Test Engineerlooking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting position for you!You will lead and participate with a small team through the design and implementation of test automation software for world-class pressure and temperature measurement devices. Our products deliver highly accurate pressure and temperature measurements with unmatched reliability to help customers in a variety of industries. In this role you will get to work with engineers from multiple global sites and leverage their combined knowledge to achieve the program objectives.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Writing Test Cases for Firmware Requirements Testing
  • Communications Protocol Software Testing
  • Develop Test Infrastructure (HW/SW) for Automated Testing
  • Closely collaborate with firmware developers.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from requirements definition through post-release activities.
  • Present status updates and metrics to management.
  • Plan test effort and develop test strategies for test automation (90%) and manual testing (10%).
  • Plan lead and execute software test development activities which include software test architecture development test requirements development and execution.
  • Carry out continuous improvement to the software test processes.

For This Role You Will Need:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an engineering school
  • Minimum two (2) years of applicable experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
  • Ability to meet with and lead global team members during off hours
  • Knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • ABET-accredited engineering degree
  • Proven experience providing work direction and leadership to others
  • Experience working in geographically distributed teams
  • Firmware lead experience
  • Azure DevOps or similar tool experience
  • Knowledge and experience with serial communication protocols like SPI I2C USB etc.
  • Cybersecurity and SIS product development experience (e.g. IEC61508 IEC62443)
  • Experience with object-oriented programming

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $83000 - $108000 annually commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
