Job Description
Locations: Palo Alto or Los Angeles
Compensation: $175000 - $250000 Base Equity
Responsibilities:
Become a deep subject-matter expert in theproductsyou cover building close connections with yourproductteam through effective communication and collaboration
Serve as the first point of contact for yourproductteams legal questions and for the broader legal teams questions about yourproduct
Review new and changedproducts features platforms and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions
Experience with drafting and reviewing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)
Provide and coordinate legal advice across complex and multifaceted legal issues applicable to theproductyou are supporting including compliance with newly developing regulatory and legal obligations
Enableproductteams to move quickly by proactively identifying and helping to resolve areas of potential legal risk
Coordinate with public policy communicationsproductmanagement engineeringproductmarketing trust and safety and other cross-functional teams on external communications policy development internal investigations andproductdevelopment and launches
Minimum Qualifications
J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)
5 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney including at a law firm or in-house experience
Experience in advertising
Proven experience to distill complicated technical concepts for legal colleagues and to distill complicated legal concepts for technical colleagues
Proven problem-solving communication and interpersonal skills
Experience advising clients on risk mitigation across technologyproductplatforms
