Job Description

Job Title:StR Lower in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Grade:StR Lower
Hours:40 hours per week
Location: Birmingham West Midlands
Rate:Competitive to be discussed upon application

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Registrar (StR) Lower in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS clients dynamic team based in Birmingham West Midlands. This position is available for an immediate start offering competitive rates.

Main Responsibilities:

Admission clerking bloods ECG physical examination writing CPA reports discharge summaries regular mental state examination liaise with external agencies external hospitals attending ward rounds and CPA meetings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A medical degree and professional qualification in psychiatry.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience.
  • Extensive experience of applying psychiatric frames of reference and approaches.
  • Highly effective clinical reasoning skills.
  • Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.
  • Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician (AC) Status are essential.
  • Experience working in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Community settings.
