- Flexible schedule
- Plan and write IEP goals and objectives
- Perform speech-language re-evaluations
- Implement treatment plans adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes
- Maintain excellent records of student needs care and outcome
- Work closely with students and their families and teachers to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
- Active state license for practicing speech therapy
- Masters degree and Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Experience in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Passion for helping children
- Positive outlook about profession
- Familiarity with basic computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite
