Job Description:
L3Harris is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager with an interest in military avionics to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a large avionics Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) program. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are a must with the ability to lead internal and external supplier teams in the execution of program activities. The successful candidate will also have regular interactions with customers in the execution of current contracts as well as new business development activities.
Essential Functions:
Manage the cost schedule and technical performance requirements of a program through all phases from inception to completion
Responsible for customer relationship management
Prepare proposals business plans proposal work statements and specifications operating budget and financial terms/conditions of contract
Ensure all resources such as engineering manpower production and facilities are available to support the program
Work with customers to determine needs requirements and new business opportunities
Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical business and administrative areas
Interact with management and customers on significant business matters
Manage a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation
Develop and manage programmatic and financial forecasts
Limited travel will be required with this position (<10%)
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or in lieu of a degree a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Candidate must be able to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
