Meet the team:
At Dexcom the Firmware Verification and Validation team employs advanced technologies for product testing. We focus on automating tests and continually enhancing our solutions. Our commitment to quality ensures we deliver top-tier products to our customers.
Where you come in:
- You will Interview Hire and Grow a team of engineers to assist in performing device compatibility testing.
- You will mentor and guide junior engineers guiding them in software requirements and design reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- You will lead a technical engineering team of testers.
- You will oversee the creation of software verification plans test protocols and software risk analyses for commercial products ensuring that all standards are met.
- You will review and approve test reports that document detailed validation results and communicate test progress to upper management.
- You will enforce adherence to internal software development cybersecurity and validation procedures in compliance with medical and security regulations.
- You will guide the modification of test protocols based on changes in requirements and oversee regression validation execution.
- You will foster collaboration among your team and with other engineering departments to achieve shared goals and enhance product quality.
- You will manage the lab environment ensuring it is equipped and maintained for effective testing and development activities.
- You will continuously explore and evaluate new technologies to improve development efficiency.

- You have experience in testing hardware and firmware focusing on reliability security and compliance.
- You have proficiency with test automation frameworks and programming languages such as Python and Java.

- You have a demonstrated ability of problem-solving with the ability to identify core issues and proactively mitigate potential problems before they arise.

- You have a strong ability to assess talent and ensure the organization is structured and staffed to achieve objectives successfully.
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities in both small and large settings engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels including senior leadership.
- You have leadership capabilities to guide people teams and projects in delivering comprehensive testing and automation across software products across multiple sites and geographies.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a bachelors degree in technical discipline with 8-12 years ofindustry experience
- With 2-5 years of previous management or leadexperience
