Role Description
Arcadis is seeking an experiencedEnvironmental Construction Site Supervisorto join our team in Ontario preferably in the Greater Toronto Area or Kitchener/Waterloo. The role involves managing construction projects across the province. Candidates should have at least8 years of experiencewere looking for someone ready to lead and has flexibility to work on project sites and travel between them.
Role Accountabilities
As an Environmental Construction Site Supervisor you will supportenvironmental remediation and decommissioning projectswithin Arcadis Construction Services. The role requires90% traveland calls for a knowledgeable leader with expertise in Health and Safety Construction Operations and Scheduling Environmental Regulatory Requirements Contract and Personnel Management
You will collaborate with the Arcadis project team which includes Project Managers Coordinators Estimators Safety Officers Engineers and external stakeholders such as client representatives suppliers and subcontractors.
Key responsibilitiesinclude:
Organizing project site activities including subcontractors Arcadis crews and stakeholders.
Enforcing Arcadis Health & Safety policies leading daily operations meetings and adjusting plans to ensure efficient resource use.
Managing contracts and scope changes in coordination with the Project Manager ensuring any changes are identified and documented properly.
Maintaining site compliance with regulatory requirements and Arcadis policies through documentation (e.g. reports safety talks equipment inspections).
Key Attributes
Ability to interpretConstruction Drawings and Specificationsand a solid understanding ofscheduling contracts quality control engineering principles and safety regulations.
Strong knowledge of construction safetybest practices and experience enforcing health and safety policies.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address risks and provide effective solutions.
Ability to manage multiple scopes of work simultaneously; leadership skills to guide large site teams.
Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Suite.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- 8 years of experience in construction services.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Canada (required for Federal Background Check).
Preferred:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in environmental construction (e.g. heavy civil remediation demolition abatement) previous work in mining oil and gas and familiarity with Site Docs Safety Management Software.
The ideal candidate will have certifications in First Aid WAH (Working at Heights) Confined Space Asbestos Awareness AWP License Traffic Control Propane Handling IHSA Supervisor Basics Joint Health & Safety (Cert 1 & 2) and TSSA License.

The salary range for this position is $89000-134000. The base salary represents Arcadis hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors such as location skills experience and qualification for the role.
