JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This is a newly created opportunity as part of our expansion across the region and ongoing growth within our team. As an Assistant Project Manager youll work closely with the Senior Project Manager to oversee the planning execution and completion of exciting new BTR and new build developments in NSW as well as capital expenditure projects across our national student accommodation portfolio.

Your focus will be on ensuring projects are delivered on time on budget and to Greystars quality standards. From managing contractors and coordinating design meetings to facilitating smooth project handovers and preparing reports for investors this role is critical to maintaining our standard of excellence.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee construction activities across development and capital works projects ensuring timelines quality and budgets are met.
  • Assist in leading the delivery of development projects and upgrades to existing student accommodation assets.
  • Participate in design meetings regular site inspections and contractor reviews to monitor progress and address issues proactively.
  • Champion best-practice safety standards across all construction sites.
  • Support risk management and resolution planning throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for internal stakeholders and capital partners.
  • Coordinate procurement of client-supplied materials and embedded service providers.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Asset Managers to ensure seamless project handovers.
  • Assist with the preparation of tender documents and Principal Project Requirements for upcoming developments.

To be successful in this role you should have skills including:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in project or construction management preferably in real estate or development. Experience client side is highly desirable.
  • Experience with mid to high density residential developments essential an understanding of student accommodation and build-to-rent sectors highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
