    Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer DSP (Lead Systems Engineer)

    Job Description:

    The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for working within an Integrated Product Team responsible for specialized signal processing systems for a diverse customer base. This team works closely with customers to gain insight into real-world needs priorities and obtains operational feedback to provide the best system solutions for our users. This position requires a highly skilled engineer interested in product innovation to design and implement complex and challenging C/ C DSP software solutions for the teams products and many programs. This position requires a self-motivated team player with excellent technical and communication skills. Opportunities exist for travel if desired.

    Essential Functions:

    • Develop algorithms requiring a strong mathematical background with a firm understanding of advanced modulation techniques and digital communications theory as well as Digital RF related time and frequency domain transforms filters convolutions networks and structures.
    • Convert algorithms to real-time reusable DSP C/C code that is compliant with an existing system architecture.
    • Integrate developed DSP software into system architecture and code base.
    • Optimize software to meet processing limitations of hardware resources.
    • Ensure developed software provides solution that performs in the customers operational environment.
    • Collaborate with team to translate system requirements to technical specifications.
    • Ensure design and developed systems follow specifications.
    • Work closely with team members to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software as well as operational performance requirements.
    • Participate in strategic architectural and hardware decisions.
    • Strongmulti-threaded programming skills.
    • Working in a Linux development environment.
    • Network socket programming.
    • Knowledge and understanding of RF and receiver concepts.
    • Software Defined Radio experience.
    • AI/ML and Shell scripting.
    • FPGA experience.
    • Experience using software configuration management tools (e.g. Git SVN etc.).
    • Ability to work with flexible goals or shifting priorities.
    • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a team environment or on independent assignments.
    • Excellent oral written and interpersonal communication.
    • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree with nine (9) years of C/C development of real time digital signal processing applications experience.
    • Graduate Degree with seven (7) years of C/C development of real time digital signal processing applications experience.
    • In lieu of a degree a minimum of 13 years of C/C development of real time digital signal processing applications experience.
    • Must have an active Secret DoD Clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with SCI.
    • Must be a US Citizen.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering.
    • Active Top Secret DoD Clearance.
