Founded in 1978 by the beloved (and now retired) Dr. Richard Hack Codornices Veterinary Clinic has earned a strong reputation in the East Bay for providing modern sensible and individualized veterinary care. Today our team of four dedicated doctors continues Dr. Hacks legacy by working closely with pet parents to deliver the best possible care for every patient.

Marjorie Mendez RVT
As a Veterinary Assistant or RVT your responsibilities will include (but arent limited to):
Assisting veterinarians with patient exams proper restraint and client communication
Performing venipuncture cystocentesis administering medications and running lab tests
Preparing patients for surgery including IV catheter placement anesthesia induction and monitoring
Taking digital radiographs (including dental)
Performing dental cleanings and assisting with dental procedures
Filling prescriptions and updating electronic medical records
Educating pet parents and providing compassionate client service
And most importantly... being awesome!
Were located in Albany CAa vibrant and diverse city nestled between Berkeley and El Cerrito. The East Bay is known for its eclectic charm scenic parks beaches food scene and easy access to all that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer.

Were looking for someone who:
Has prior veterinary hospital experience (not an entry-level position)
Is dependable self-motivated and proactive
Works well as part of a team and values mutual respect
Knows when to take initiative and when to ask for help
Is open to feedback and always eager to learn
Qualifications
Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT RVT or LVT) preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not .
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with exams treatments and surgical procedures.
Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean organized work environment.
