Job Description

Job Title: Director of Maintenance

Job Code: 24516

Job Location: Las Vegas Nevada

Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Maintenance to oversee our maintenance operations for 14 CFR Part 121 operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of FAA regulations a strong background in aircraft maintenance and proven leadership abilities. This role is critical to ensuring the safety reliability and airworthiness of our fleet. Ideal candidate must meet the minimum standards listed in 14 CFR Part 119.67.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Maintenance department including hiring training and evaluating maintenance staff.

Develop and implement maintenance policies procedures and standards to ensure compliance with FAA Part 121 regulations.

Foster a culture of safety reliability and continuous improvement within the organization.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure that all maintenance operations comply with FAA regulations industry standards and company policies.

Serve as the primary point of contact for FAA audits and inspections related to maintenance.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and ensure the organization adapts accordingly.

Maintenance Programs:

Develop implement and maintain comprehensive maintenance programs including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections and repairs.

Oversee the analysis of maintenance findings ensuring timely and effective resolution of any issues.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance programs and make necessary adjustments.

Safety Management:

Collaborate with the Safety Management System (SMS) team to integrate maintenance activities with safety initiatives.

Ensure that safety risks are identified assessed and mitigated through effective maintenance processes.

Promote a proactive approach to safety and reliability throughout the organization.

Inventory and Resource Management:

Oversee the management of maintenance resources including personnel tools equipment and parts inventory.

Ensure that all maintenance activities are properly documented and records are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Work closely with Program Management to develop and manage the maintenance budget ensuring cost-effective operations.

Training and Development:

Ensure maintenance training programs for staff at all levels of the organization are in place relevant and meet both contractual and Part 121 requirements.

Ensure that all personnel are knowledgeable about maintenance policies procedures and regulatory requirements.

Promote professional development and continuous learning within the maintenance team.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 16 years of prior related experience. Degree in Aviation Management or a related field preferred

Active Top Secret DoD security clearance and ability to maintain.

FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required

Demonstrated experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service.

Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity under either paragraph (c)(4)(i) or (ii) of 14 CFR Part 119.67 maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as the certificate holder uses.

Demonstrated experience within the past six (6) years in one or a combination of the following:

(i) Maintaining large aircraft with 10 or more passenger seats including experience in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as the certificate holder uses; or

(ii) Repairing aircraft in a certificated airframe repair station that is rated to maintain aircraft in the same category and class of aircraft as the certificate holder uses.

Demonstrated knowledge of FAA Part 121 regulations & industry standards.

Demonstrated track record managing maintenance programs in a Part 121 environment.

Working Conditions:

The Director of Maintenance will be expected to work in both office and operational environments maintaining a strong presence across all areas of the organization.
