You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry seeks to fill one position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. This will be a one-year academic appointment for 2025-2026 made possible by reassignment of faculty to a federally funded grant. Future continuation of this appointment would be contingent on the continued availability of funding. The appointment is for the 9-month academic year and the primary responsibilities will be teaching General Chemistry lecture and lab courses. The successful candidate will be able to 1) effectively teach general chemistry to a diverse student body promoting both accessibility and high achievement 2) successfully interact with students in a lab setting and in office hours 3) demonstrate a record of significant professional experience 4) supervise student lab assistants and 5) regularly attend departmental faculty meetings school meetings and school/university committees.
Qualifications: Candidates are required to have a minimum of an MS degree in a related discipline with a PhD preferred. Significant teaching experience at the undergraduate level is desired with emphasis on first- and second-year chemistry and closely related disciplines.
Salary Wage Range: $68640.00 to $69360.00 plus generous benefits:
