Job Description

Position:NDT FPI Inspector (Level II)Shift:1st Hours:7:00 AM 3:00 PMEmployment Type:Full-Time Direct Hire

Our client a leader in the aerospace manufacturing industry is currently seeking a skilledLevel II NDT FPI Inspectorto support non-destructive testing processes and ensure the airworthiness of aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) using test panels in accordance with customer specifications.

  • Conduct inspections using black light (UV) technology to detect surface discontinuities.

  • Clean sterilize and dry components to meet inspection prep standards.

  • Follow job travelers to ensure accurate FPI preparation and execution.

  • Identify and mark discontinuities per inspection standards and procedures.

  • Complete inspections following detailed guidelines in applicable technical manuals.

  • Maintain daily checks on precision measuring instruments used in inspections.

  • Accurately record inspection results and maintain proper documentation.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.

  • Proficient in blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Certification in Level II NDT (FPI) preferred.
