Position Summary

The Director of Sales lead a sales team who will be selling our Elead CRM software solution achieve the projected sales quota and revenue growth for the year expanding the breadth of CDK layered applications and services into new and existing markets.

Other objectives of the Director of Sales: monitor performance achieve financial goals develop motivate and counsel staff foster a collaborative environment provide feedback information about market conditions and plan sales strategy per quarter to achieve fiscal year goals. Also this DOS will be accountable for working with current and competitive accounts hiring and building a successful sales team and directing/managing staff performance. Lastly this Director will handle customer issues and satisfaction and assist in driving efforts to increase client retention.

Territory of team consists of: WI MI IL (top half) IN OH PA NY MA RI VT DE ME - must live in territory to be considered

Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Utilize Sales Automation tools to define market penetration.

  • Identify and target Competitive Prospects and Plan Strategy to increase the CDK Layers Applications and Services market share.

  • Execute sales strategy to systematically and consistently engage in sales processes in these identified accounts and bring sales processes to successful closure.

  • Minimally achieve your annual assigned QC Sales Plan.

  • Utilize all resources at your disposal with particular emphasis on the inclusion of all Channel partners.

  • Utilize and the sales automation tools to effectively manage a robust pipeline and provide accurate weekly forecasting to your Director of Sales.

  • Understand your competition and aggressively and proactively attack their base.

  • Communicate daily with channel partners and Director and participate in all team meetings and conference calls.

Qualifications

  • Excellent planning project management analytical and facilitation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a multi-functional team environment with a strong track record of delivering measurable results

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills including the ability to make effective presentations to a variety of senior level audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to make meaningful recommendations to senior management regarding the strategic direction of the sales organization including the ability to make tough recommendations

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology applications

  • Excellent work ethic with ability to succeed in a competitive high-performance work environment

  • Be a self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively

  • Knowledge of automotive - technology and digital solutions preferred

  • Ability to travel approximately 75% is required

  • Quota at 100% or more every year

Education/Experience

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent experience

  • Automotive retail experience: either working within a dealership or selling solutions to a dealership

  • Minimum 6-8 years of related experience in leading a quota-exceeding b2b sales team

  • Demonstrated track record of success in a solutions selling environment

  • 7-9 months of job-related formal Sales training

  • 1-3 years of outside B2B sales/including new business development

  • Knowledge of automotive - technology and digital solutions preferred

Salary: $145000 Uncapped Commissions

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
