EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT School of Engineering (SoE) - Deans Office to provide complex administrative support to the Dean. The candidate will coordinate complex calendar management with attention to detail and a high degree of discretion; initiate organize and implement systems and procedures to efficiently manage the Deans activities including helping on special projects reports and presentation preparations; ensure consistent timely and proactive administrative support to the Dean and the strategic plan and vision for the SoE; blend administrative support and project-focused responsibilities which include faculty affairs calendar/travel management event planning and budget monitoring and reconciliation; maintain confidentiality and demonstrate excellent judgment and discretion on sensitive matters; and assist with the Dean and Senior Leadership to advance the goals of School and department projects.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of seven years of administrative office or related experience; solid organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced multi-taskwork environment with changing priorities and limited supervision; excellent project management skills solid attention to detail and the proven ability to multi-task with demanding time frames; excellent writing skills together with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of faculty staff and students both verbally and in writing; ability to use high-level discretion maintain a high level of confidentiality and provide high-quality customer service; experience with managing complex calendars and travel arrangements along with experience with coordinating logistics for meetings and events; and advanced technical and computer skills to support administrative functions including Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Acrobat and shared document environments such as SharePoint Dropbox Google docs. PREFERRED: Bachelors degree and administrative experience in a higher education institution; experience working for a senior leader; and MIT experience. Job #24997-8
Must be available to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Because of the nature of the duties this full-time position requires at least 4-days per week on site.
