About the Role
KJBN Labs is on a mission to transform agriculture with intelligent technology. Were looking for a Senior Backend Developer (Python) who believes in writing clean maintainable code and follows clean architecture principles to build scalable robust systems.
Youll lead the development of high-performance backend services and be a key contributor in shaping our engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend systems using Python (FastAPI Django or Flask)
- Architect microservices with clean architecture and domain-driven design
- Write clean modular and testable code that follows best practices and coding standards
- Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs and data pipelines
- Collaborate with Product DevOps and Data teams for seamless feature delivery
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- 47 years of hands-on backend development experience in Python
- Strong grip on clean code SOLID principles and scalable system design
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL MongoDB etc.)
- Familiarity with Docker Git workflows CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud experience (AWS GCP or Azure)
- Deep understanding of REST APIs asynchronous programming and debugging
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AgriTech IoT platforms or real-time data applications
- Experience with Kafka RabbitMQ or other message brokers
- Knowledge of deploying ML models or data-intensive systems
