The Systems Engineer will design prototype and test new equipment and processes for in-house use and/or commercial sale for lipid nanoparticle formulation and testing. The Systems Engineer will work with the in-house users and/or production and quality teams to investigate and resolve any product quality related issues with new or existing designs. The Systems Engineer will be the technical interface with suppliers for the support of existing components as well as the implementation of new and/or revised components.
This position reports to the Systems Engineering Manager and is part of the Nanomedicine Engineering Team located in Vancouver Canada and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
Responsible for system requirements architecture subsystem design and component selection
Work with Science and R&D teams as to design document build and test in-house equipment and/or commercial products. Automated Equipment/Systems
System or component modeling Mechanical CAD electrical layout design and scripting as needed to support projects.
Drive root cause investigations and provide ongoing support and continuous improvement for in-house or commercial production equipment
Develop and execute engineering best practices FMEAs PFMEAs Maintainability and Useability considerations
Who you are:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering or Science
Working in a wet lab environment-Liquid handling Equipment
Relevant post-graduation experiencein Systems Engineering preferably in a wet lab environment.
Experienced in process automation using robotic equipment
Strong electro-mechanical aptitude
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Preferably 5 years experience post grad.
Lipid Nanoparticle Formulations and Assays
Cell-based Assays
Liquid Handling Systems

The salary range for this role is $90k-110k CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and RPPP contributions to eligible employees.
