Job Description
Position: E-Commerce Copywriter
Job Type: Full-Time Remote
Location: South America South Africa or the Philippines
Working Hours: Flexible (with availability for regular team syncs)
Salary Range: $1000 $2000 USD/month performance-based incentives
Type of Contract: Independent Contractor
About the Role:
Our client a growing pet supplement e-commerce brand is looking for a skilled and results-driven Copywriter to join their remote team. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who understands the power of persuasive direct response copy and is excited to help scale a mission-driven business.
In this role you ll be responsible for writing high-converting video scripts ad copy and marketing content that drives customer engagement and sales. You ll work closely with a creative team and be encouraged to test bold ideas explore new angles and continuously optimize for performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write engaging conversion-focused scripts 2 10 minutes) for Facebook and native video ads
- Develop persuasive copy for email campaigns product pages social media and landing pages
- Create and test fresh creative angles and messaging strategies
- Use AI tools to support your writing process brainstorm faster and streamline drafts
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to align messaging with brand goals
- Stay up to date with trends in the pet wellness space and direct response marketing
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in direct response copywriting ideally for e-commerce or supplements
- A strong portfolio that shows your ability to drive results with long- and short-form copy
- Experience writing advertorials or video scripts in the 3 10 minute range
- Familiarity with AI copy tools like ChatGPT or Jasper
- Excellent written English attention to detail and a strategic mindset
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Previous experience writing in the pet wellness or supplement space
- Background in performance marketing funnel strategy or CRO
- Hands-on knowledge of ad platforms like Meta Outbrain or Taboola
