We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UAV Software Developer to contribute to the design integration and performance optimization of advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) software systems. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the autonomy reliability and flight capabilities of next-generation UAV platforms. You will work closely with engineering teams to integrate avionics support autonomous missions and optimize real-time system performance.
Contribute to the development and integration of flight software for autonomous UAV operations including testing tuning and support during flight missions.
Enhance software performance for real-time operation safety and mission-critical reliability.
Integrate flight control systems with various onboard payloads such as Lidar EO/IR hyperspectral sensors and other electro-mechanical subsystems.
Work with avionics communication standards including ARINC 429 ARINC 664 and MIL-STD-1553.
Support telemetry systems to facilitate data transmission including vehicle health mission data and configuration state to ground systems.
Participate in flight test operations including both autonomous and remote-controlled modes.
Collaborate closely with systems engineers and hardware teams to support the successful deployment of UAV systems.
Analyze test and flight data to improve control algorithms and overall aircraft performance.
Tune autopilot software using real-world performance feedback and simulation tools.
Maintain a proactive approach to continuous improvement troubleshooting and system refinement.
5 8 years of professional experience in UAV software development embedded systems or aerospace software engineering.
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience with flight control systems such as Pixhawk ArduPilot or similar platforms.
Proficiency in C Python or comparable programming languages.
Strong knowledge of Linux-based environments and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Experience with flight data analysis debugging and system-level troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a cross-functional engineering team.
Familiarity with standard productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
