Overview
The Onestream-Financial Systems Expert plays a crucial role in optimizing the financial operations of the organization by leveraging Onestream s capabilities to enhance reporting budgeting and forecasting processes. This expert serves as a bridge between finance teams and IT ensuring that financial systems align with the overarching business objectives. As a specialist in Onestream the individual will be responsible for the implementation maintenance and evolution of the Onestream platform driving efficiency and leveraging data insights to support decision-making. This position requires a blend of financial acumen and technical proficiency to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. The Onestream-Financial Systems Expert will significantly contribute to the organization s financial strategy enabling enhanced visibility and accountability in financial reporting thereby ensuring compliance and promoting best practices across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the Onestream financial system ensuring efficiency in budgetary and forecasting processes.
- Collaborate with finance teams to gather requirements for financial reporting and budgeting.
- Develop and optimize Onestream workflows improving overall system performance.
- Perform data integration between Onestream and other financial systems.
- Provide expertise in Onestream model development data mapping and reporting functionalities.
- Conduct user training sessions to enhance system utilization among finance staff.
- Monitor system performance and address any technical issues or bottlenecks.
- Work closely with IT to ensure seamless upgrades and patches to the Onestream platform.
- Assist in the development and documentation of best practices for Onestream usage.
- Analyze financial data to generate KPI reports and strategic insights for senior management.
- Act as a liaison between finance IT and external vendors for system enhancements.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to refine financial processes influenced by the Onestream system.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the functionality of the financial system.
- Support audit processes by providing required data from the Onestream system.
- Stay updated on Onestream developments and financial system trends to propose innovations for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Finance Accounting Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial systems preferably with Onestream.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes budgeting and forecasting.
- Proven expertise in Onestream implementation and administration.
- Experience with data integration tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with financial reporting frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Project management experience particularly in system implementations.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience training end-users on financial systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other reporting tools.
- Willingness to stay current with ongoing developments in financial technology.
- Experience with stakeholder management and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Certification in Onestream or related financial systems is a plus.
