Engineering Leader - DevOps plays a crucial role in leading the DevOps team and driving the implementation of continuous integration and delivery practices. This position is pivotal in aligning engineering processes with the organizations business objectives and ensuring the stability scalability and security of the infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and mentor the DevOps team in designing implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Oversee the development and operation of cloud infrastructure and services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation efficiency and scalability.
Establish best practices for monitoring logging and alerting across the infrastructure.
Drive the adoption of DevOps culture and practices across engineering teams
Manage the budget resources and timelines for DevOps projects
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
Lead incident response and resolution efforts to maintain high availability of systems.
Collaborate with product management to align DevOps initiatives with product roadmaps.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
Develop and maintain documentation for processes procedures and infrastructure.
Participate in recruiting hiring and performance management of the DevOps team.
Contribute to the overall engineering leadership and strategic direction
Identify and drive initiatives for continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align DevOps strategies with business goals
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a DevOps or infrastructure engineering team.
Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines
In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Ansible Chef or Puppet
Experience with infrastructure as code techniques using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Thorough understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges.
Proven track record of driving cultural and organizational change towards DevOps practices
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams
Experience in budgeting resource planning and project management.
Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are a plus.
