What does the team do

The Workplace Savings Product team are responsible for the development ongoing maintenance and governance of Legal & Generals market-leading UK Defined Contribution (DC) contract and trust-based workplace pension and retail savings products.

They are responsible for developing new solutions that meet customers needs and are commercially attractive for our customers clients and shareholders. Through their work they help millions of customers to plan and save for their future so that they can enjoy their retirement.

The team enable employers trustees and advisers to meet the requirements of auto-enrolment legislation via competitively priced high-quality products that adapt and evolve as the savings and pension landscape changes. We also provide direct to consumer saving solutions via our Personal Pension and Stocks & Shares Individual Savings Account (ISA).

What youll be doing

Our Graduate Programme has been designed to give you the fundamental experience and skill set to excel at L&G.  Youll join with a cohort of graduates and take part in our thoughtfully designed Induction Programme providing you with insights about our business and helping you connect with your new peers to grow your professional network.

In this role you will join us on a full-time permanent basis and receive on the job training and coaching from your line manager and team to help you expand on both your business acumen and Investment skills. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and analysing MI across Workplace Savings investment funds to demonstrate that our investment proposition is delivering good member outcomes. 
• Supporting the Fund Risk & Oversight Committee to fulfil its responsibilities in the management of Workplace & Retail Savings investment funds.
• Helping with the creation of quarterly updates that are required for various boards to demonstrate that the Workplace Savings investment fund proposition is being proactively managed in line with their expected standards.
• Maintaining a central library of investment fund developments to demonstrate compliance with internal and regulatory policy and process across Workplace Savings.
• Contributing to annual due diligence assessments on relevant third parties.
• Supporting the teams adherence to the Risk Management Framework ensuring that identified risks are recorded on the central risk management system and regularly reviewed.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders involved in the day-to-day operation of our investment fund proposition.

Qualifications :

First and foremost we are looking for graduates with an inquisitive mind and a desire to learn. Were not expecting prior industry experience but well want to see that you have the tools to develop quickly.

• Achieved 2.1 Degree in any subject we are open to all subject backgrounds
• Curious motivated and have a desire to progress a career in pensions savings and investments
• High levels of energy dynamism and commitment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong attention to detail
• Analytical mind-set
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
• Flexible and a team-player
