The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Record to Report function and is responsible for providing accurate financial information and insights to support strategic decision-making across SEEK. This role involves analysing financial data preparing reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance.
The role partners with the Finance Business Partner to deliver the monthly management reporting process improvements and commercial insights for SEEK across the APAC region.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver reporting to the business including clear interpretation of actual results communication of drivers and implications for future financial performance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and accounting treatment of costs
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the business including interpretation of actual results communication of drivers and implications for future financial performance.
- Deliver strong financial controls and record financial results in-line with SEEK Group accounting policies and IFRS while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise guide and mentor junior team members
Qualifications :
- CA / CPA designation or equivalent
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Experience in preparation and accountability for business unit P&Ls and balance sheets with strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills with an ability to interpret and communicate commercial insights to decision makers
- An ability to manage large volumes of information and manipulate this through advanced Excel skills and data visualisation tools
- Experience in coaching and guiding junior accountants within a team
