Job Description
An Artisan has expertise on products and processes at a minimum of two retail stations at an Eataly. An Artisan shares knowledge about products and ingredients with guests and recommends products and portion sizes. Reports to the Fresh Market Assistant Manager.
- Assists the retail counters with daily operations as needed to ensure counters are running smoothly
- Ensures retail supplies are in stock and being utilized properly at all stations
- Stocks counter and display refrigerators neatly accurately and in a timely manner
- Slices weighs labels displays sells and packages products per department standards and guest specifications
- Manages transfers between departments to ensure accurate inventory levels and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
- Provides a steady presence on the floor constantly interacting with guests employees vendors and visitors
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications :
- 2 years of experience in food service preferred
- Great communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Italian or fresh market products preferred
The hourly wage for this position starts at $19 an hour.
Schedule AM shifts 7AM-3:30PM
Job Requirements
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours including standing walking bending and squatting
