Job Description

Position Summary
This position provides support to the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics ( DPET ) in the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy specializing in program management planning and coordination of the Divisions industry sponsored fellowship programs with 20-25 fellows. The individual will also work closely with the Divisions administrative and leadership team and provide administrative support to a portion of the DPET faculty that is highly active in pharmaceutical education and research. The individual will provide administrative support for faculty and fellows that includes but is not limited to assisting with Finance/HR tasks and inquires coordination of application management and recruitment onboarding and orientation preparation/editing of documents calendar management and general clerical support for various activities. This position will be part of a highly active and motivated administrative/technical team. The position will work closely with this team and provide additional support to the divisions graduate program and the Eshelman School of Pharmacy as needed.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Knowledge Program: Program knowledge includes acceptable interpretations applications and allowable exceptions of written policies and procedures. Requires knowledge of organizational structure functions and services programs office procedures and practices. Ability to explain and interpret information to clients/customers and staff. Information/Records Administration: Performs research data collection and analysis of information and report writing. Utilizes reconciles and manipulates data from different internal and external software systems. Applies an in-depth knowledge of a variety of complex processes and procedures. Office Technology: Integrates varying software applications and systems for information and records purposes. Problem Solving: Independently resolves and/or develops recommendations for unprecedented issues and problems. Problem resolution requires some interpretation of policy and procedures. Serves as a resource for others in resolving unprecedented non-standard issues and problems. Assumes responsibilities for and manages the results of decisions. Coordinates and facilitates solutions with other work units. Communication Verbal: Interprets guidelines answers inquiries and advises others regarding processes services and operations as applied to non-standard situations. Communicates expectations to other employees which may include formal/informal training. Communication Written: Independently compiles analyzes assimilates and composes information into varied or non-standard formats with responsibility for content review accuracy quality and timelines requiring in-depth program knowledge and interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
-Prefer three years of related administrative experience preferably in an academic setting. -A Bachelors degree is preferred along with experience working in a fast-paced environment. -Knowledge of UNC systems and policies is preferred. -Ability to prosper in a fast-paced environment that often involves quick decision making and multitasking skills. -A proven ability to function independently yet being able to work on a team and recognize when to seek guidance from supervisors and peers is crucial. -A preferred candidate would have a track record of success in event planning and/or administrative support for multiple shareholders. -Ability to promote and maintain a productive and collaborative work environment and create a knowledgeable and welcoming workplace for faculty administrators staff and learners. -A preferred candidate would have excellent communication organization and time-management skills. -A preferred candidate would have experience working with Microsoft Office and proofing and editing documents for general grammatical errors. -A preferred candidate would have prior experience with UNC finance HR and travel systems.

M-F 8 am 5 pm
