IT Manager H/F/X

Summary of Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Business Support key responsibilities and essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
- Oversee and manage the hotels technology systems ensuring all standards are respected
- Ensure the constant operation of hotel systems including : (but not limited to) networks applications interfaces and servers
- Enforce IT security policies concerning hardware software and data confidentiality
- Ensure adequate backup of all business-critical and user-relevant data
- Troubleshoot issues related to Book4Time Oracle Opera Cloud Silverware Microsoft Active Directory internet and other hospitality systems
- Prepare the annual IT budget with a focus on long-term system sustainability and manage expenses responsibly
- Provide IT support for employees (approx. 60% of the time) and guests (approx. 20%)
- Liaise with hardware and software vendors to install and update necessary equipment
- Manage tender processes and oversee IT-related investments
- Train staff on IT systems and software usage
- Propose and advise the leadership team on technology projects impacting guest experience
- Supervise an apprentice and be responsible for IT on-call availability
- Ensure software installation and usage comply with licensing regulations
- Guarantee that all IT team members are properly trained on equipment and devices
- Balance priorities between operational and administrative IT needs
- Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and solutions
- Comply with departmental policies and procedures
- Follow ergonomic health & safety standards
- Adhere to all security policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar IT management position
- 5 years of relevant IT experience (including apprenticeship)
- Fluency in Portuguese & English required
- University degree in a related field or IT certifications preferred
- Understanding of hotel applications is an advantage (e.g. Opera POS systems networks)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Highly responsible reliable and autonomous with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong ability to manage stress and prioritize under pressure
- Guest-focused with a calm and courteous demeanor at all times
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively across departments
- Service-oriented and responsive to both internal and external client needs
