Job Description
Create test plans test cases and test scripts
Execute and report on the full testing suite of both manual and automated tests
Develop and maintain UI automation scripts using Java Selenium and Playwright
Ensure the robustness and reusability of the automation frameworks
Create and manage API automation scripts using Java and Rest Assured
Validate and verify APIs for functionality reliability performance and security
Configure and manage Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and deployment
Configure and maintain automation jobs on remote machines via Jenkins
Utilize Git and GitHub for version control branching and merging
Collaborate with team members through code reviews and pull requests
Setup configure and maintain test environments
Participate in deploying code to QA servers on Linux systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues on Linux systems as necessary
Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform backend testing
Collaborate with the development team to ensure proper database structure and indexing
Work closely with both Development and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
Participate actively in all phases of the development process including planning design implementation and testing
Write clean efficient and maintainable code
Follow best practices for coding automation and framework design
Work effectively with test lead and test engineers and acquire technical guidance from peers as appropriate
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications :
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts experience with Java collections exceptions and file I/O
* Strong understanding of testing frameworks like JUnit or TestNG
Strong experience with Selenium and Playwright for UI automation
Solid understanding of Rest Assured for API testing understanding of HTTP methods status codes and JSON/XML parsing
Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle for project dependency management and build automation
Strong expertise with Jenkins for CI/CD
Competence in using Git and GitHub for source code management
Familiarity with IDEs (e.g. Visual Studio Code IntelliJ etc)
Good understanding of Linux systems and command-line tools
Proficiency in SQL for writing and executing queries
Ability to work effectively in a DevOps environment where Dev and QA collaborate closely
Strong troubleshooting problem solving and analytical skills
Strong oral and written communications skills
Constantly strive to learn new technologies and look for ways to stay up to date in this rapidly changing industry
