Position Summary:

KBR is seeking a recognized and resourceful Senior Portfolio Manager with over 20 years of experience in leadership program management and operations. This role demands an analytical professional adept at distilling complex operational challenges into strategic solutions that drive organizational growth. The successful candidate will lead diverse teams manage comprehensive portfolios within advanced solutions and products and be instrumental in achieving significant revenue growth and exceptional customer satisfaction. This position requires a leader who empowers personnel fosters strong team morale and ensures efficient execution of mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and long-range vision execution for a robust portfolio of advanced solutions and products ensuring deliverables and objectives align with customer desires and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of complex programs and initiatives from initial concept to accreditation and ongoing customer support.
  • Drive significant growth in multi-program portfolio annual revenue through strategic leadership customer fulfillment and effective team management.
  • Directly supervise and contribute to the supervision of a diverse team of Subject Matter Experts Software Developers/Engineers Research Analysts and Program Managers.
  • Optimize operational efficiency and deliver high-quality results consistently exceeding performance metrics.
  • Foster strong client relationships and ensure outstanding customer reviews.
  • Implement and maintain efficient resource management strategies including budget administration and allocation of FTEs for training currency and operations.
  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives across operations and program execution.
  • Oversee and maintain critical operations ensuring minimal downtime and successful conversion/technical refresh of assets.
  • Develop and practice agile methodologies across teams to increase productivity and streamline processes.
  • Co-author whitepapers and strategic documents highlighting future execution parameters and expectations.
  • Provide expert advice to senior directors and staff on assigned assets tasks and equipment to ensure timely and efficient completion.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least twenty (20) years of progressive experience in leadership program management and operations management roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multi-program portfolios and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Extensive experience leading and supervising large teams (e.g. 60 personnel multiple functional teams multiple subcontracts).
  • Expertise in Operations Management Project Governance & Control and Program Management.
  • Strong background in Business Development with proven success in expanding portfolio revenue.
  • Proficiency in Resource Management Risk Assessment & Mitigation and Budget Administration.
  • Experience in Continuous Process Improvement and Autonomy Development.
  • Exceptional Relationship Building and Staff Leadership & Training skills.
  • Ability to distill complex operational challenges and facilitate strategic growth.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to articulate trade-offs and provide effective updates to clients and leadership.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage full lifecycle programs including financial and project objectives alignment.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution within complex operational environments.
  • Candidate must have strong written communication skills possess good people skills demonstrate strong attention to detail and have the desire to work on a highly focused technical team.
  • BS/BA with experience in highly technical fields.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with software development leadership and technical project management in a defense/aerospace industry context.
  • Experience with classified facilities management (build accreditation customer support).
  • Proficiency with MS Word MS Excel MS Teams MS PowerPoint Adobe Acrobat DC SharePoint Virtual Desktop GitLab.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum practices and DevSecOps principles.
  • Background in military operations or DoD programs.
