Job Description
Morningstar Inc. a leading global provider of independent investment research is looking for an experienced sales individual to serve in Morningstars Index business. The Index businessis responsible forthe creation and distribution of Morningstars Index intellectual property. The group administers an extensive range of existing indexes and develops new innovative offerings for use by asset managers wealth managersand asset owners in serving their clients investment needs.
We are looking for a implementation expert and work closely with our product solutions and delivery teams to ensure excellent collaboration between our clients sales product managers technology marketing and other client/third party stakeholders to deliver complex solutions effectively.
You will be responsible for the success of the entire solution delivery so strong project and stakeholder management skills will be required as well as a problem-solving mindset. This role will require presenting to internal and external stakeholders on Morningstar capabilities from a technical and functional point of view. There will also be opportunities to work as a business analyst and/or scrum master on internal projects that span local and global teams; these projects will help transform our business building the foundations for our growth plans and driving our next generation of products for customers in Australasia.
This roles primary location is based in our new Barangaroo office in Sydney reporting to the Pre-sales and Implementation Lead.
Responsibility
You will manage functional and technical requirements from initial scoping to end solution delivery with the clients and pre-sales consultants.
You will meet our clients frequently in face-to-face meetings and there is the potential for some travel.
You will work directly with the product team developers and our technical delivery teams to define and build solutions
You will work and deep dive in all parts of Morningstar data and services.
You will dig deep into Morningstars research analysis.
You will have the chance to develop your communication technical skills and understanding.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Implementation
You will work with all stakeholders including product data and technology teams to define and document detailed business and technical requirements for end-to-end client solutions and assist in pre-sales client consultations.
You will apply agile project management methodology (Scrum) ensuring that best practices are adhered to and the customer receives an excellent service throughout the delivery life cycle.
You will communicate clear and concise project status to internal and external project stakeholders tracking and managing key metrics such as scope schedule quality and risk.
You will facilitate decision making with both internal and external stakeholders and assess trade-offs to define the optimal solution that fulfil clients need and ensure a sustainable offering.
You will proactively identify risks and potential issues and develop mitigation plans.
You will be responsible for smooth and timely hand-over to client service team.
