Job Description

Plant Maintenance Manager $2500 Sign-On Bonus
Location: Canton MI
Salary: $150000 range

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance functions at our manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for overseeing equipment reliability preventive maintenance and continuous improvement of process control systems across the plant. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership mechanical aptitude and a strategic approach to equipment performance and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and costs.

  • Lead machinery and equipment maintenance activities including relocation dismantling and upgrades.

  • Analyze equipment wear trends and service history to schedule appropriate maintenance intervals.

  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and manage spare parts inventory.

  • Prioritize and schedule maintenance work to ensure efficient machine utilization.

  • Lead and develop maintenance personnel through training and consistent performance standards.

  • Manage and equalize overtime schedules fairly across the maintenance team.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and lead safety training and accident prevention programs.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and support critical production needs.

  • Oversee maintenance software systems and generate preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.

  • Monitor plant utility usage and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

  • Maintain adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably automotive.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Expert-level understanding of mechanical systems and equipment integration.

  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to lead meetings and provide hands-on guidance.

Sign-On Bonus Policy:
The $2500 sign-on bonus is payable after 90 days of employment. There is no repayment required should employment end after the bonus is issued.
