Job Description

Route Setter
ABPs Setting Program seeks to provide varied and interesting climbing at all ability levels. Setters must demonstrate a high level of teamwork and willingness to learn. ABPs current setting schedule is Monday through Friday daily from 8 AM to 5 PM spread across our Westgate and Springdale locations.
General Responsibilitiesand Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 4 years climbing experience and/or at least 2 years of setting experience
- Ability to climb V6 in many styles comfortablyPast setting experience preferred
- Team work communication skills and the ability to receive and implement feedback gracefully
- Passion for climbing and community
- Desire to continually work to improve own climbing and setting skills
DUTIES
- Reports to Head SettersAbility to set 4-6 boulder problems each setting day
- Participate in and contribute to team forerunning of all boulder problems
- Assist in wall maintenance tasks as they arise during the setting day
- Help maintain setting shop and equipment
- Assist team members as necessary
- Perform setting-related tasks as directed by Head Setters
- Maintain professional relationships with ABP staff
- Interact with customers and be a positive representative of ABP in the community
- Occasionally work additional hours (may include nights and weekends) for special setting-related events
- Other duties as assigned
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Setting wages DOE
- Scheduled for 3-4 setting days per week (In general 8am - 5pm) Additional hours in other departments.

$18 - $26 an hour
WORKING CONDITIONS
Many duties require the availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and events including possible evenings and weekends. Duties often occur before and after regular business hours.
