Job Description
New Albany Country Club is looking to hire an Experienced Professional Painter.
The position is primarily Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm. This is a seasonal summer position.
Job Description
- Apply paint to walls furniture and structures.
- Washes scrapes sands and/or smooth interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting varnishing lacquering or applying other related materials.
- Installs repairs and maintains drywalls wall texturing and ceiling acoustic texturing.
- Erects various types staging ladders and planks to reach surfaces of work area for Painters and others.
- Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior painted surfaces trimming and fixtures.
- Prepare surfaces and apply paints stains shading stains and clear finishes.
- Other duties as assigned.
*please note that this individual will also be responsible for helping with small maintenance projects alongside the maintenance team.
Job Skills:
- Knowledge of the tools equipment materials and application techniques common to the painting trade.
- Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling application and disposal.
- Identification safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints stains preparatory and undercoating materials and other hazardous materials.
- Skill in the preparation and application of paints stains and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of surfaces.
Education:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Previous interior and exterior experience detail orientated.
- Knowledge of all paint and stain types.
- A positive and professional attitude.
