Job Description
EMS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Abrader Operator in our Hamburg PA facility.
Position Summary:
Process material through the abrader by following the process defined by the manufacture and instructed through training and work instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and correct areas of deficiency prior to the start up of the abrader and while running.
- Monitor belts for wear and change as needed.
- Verify material characteristics prior to running material.
- Assure that thickness tolerance and surface quality of the material meets the specified requirements.
- Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area
- Load and unload large coils of material.
- Work independently while following production schedules to prepare coils for the bonding operation.
- Maintain production records and make data entries into computer systems such as Oracle Kronos etc.
- May require use of fork truck and overhead crane and hoist systems.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
- Complete setups routine maintenance and other equipment related operations.
- May be required to pack material
- Other duties as required.
