Ferguson is currently seeking Facilities Maintenance Technician for our brand-new Market Distribution Center located in CITY STATE! This position is responsible for the upkeep maintenance and repair of the facility and equipment along with its systems and related events. We are looking for candidates that have a background in robotics (preferably Autostore) mechanical electrical and conveyor systems maintenance.

Schedule Monday Friday 9am to 5:30pm

Currently starting at $26 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities:

Respond to managers maintenance requests and communications in a timely and professional manner and participate in projects with members of other teams working closely with IT HR Facilities and Operations

• Conduct routine inspections of premises grounds building systems equipment Autostore and furnishings.
• Maintain optimal functioning of Autostore on each shift; PM trouble-shooting repairs etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance on and/or repair or arrange to have repaired building systems including Plumbing Electrical Generator HVAC Appliances etc.
• Maintain and schedule regular testing and service for all Fire / Life Safety Systems Including Fire Inspections Fire Extinguishers Fire Sprinklers Fire Alarms Emergency Lighting and Smoke Detectors.
• Maintain building appearance inside and out; touch-up painting window cleaning carpet cleaning maintaining lights etc.
• Detect and report the need for major maintenance or repairs
• Facilitate and support associate moves and the resulting furniture and equipment adjustments
• Coordinate contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Maintain all hired facility vendors landscaping trash service janitorial service etc.
• Support and assist associates with assembly and installation/mounting of equipment and furnishings
• Organization and ongoing maintenance of storage areas warehouse/loading areas & custodial/janitorial equipment areas.
• Maintain records and documentation on all implemented equipment and building systems.
• Maintain service clean and properly store equipment
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations relevant codes and standards and established procedures
• Assist with implementation of enhanced health safeguards such as health screenings and verifying compliance for measures such as mask wearing and social distancing.
• Understand the correct selection and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Remediate and/or report safety hazards to your supervisor and take appropriate action
• May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities

Janitorial/Custodial

• Ensure overall cleanliness of the building keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as grounds and parking lots
• Work with a contract cleaning service to advise their efforts and define their scope
• Ensure restrooms are kept clean stocked and functional and that cleaning supplies are kept in stock.
• As needed clean up spills and collect and dispose of trash.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma minimum preference for 2 years of college or trade school.
• 2 years experience in similar positions
• Prior experience using common tools to solve repair and maintenance issues
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid state issued license is .
• Attention to detail demonstrated integrity and professionalism
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practice
• The ability to thrive in a fast paced and inclusive environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite especially Teams Outlook Word and Excel
