Job Description

Providence Hall is a charter school located in Herriman UT. Central to the schools mission is teaching students to think critically communicate effectively and act responsibly.


The Board of Trustees (Board) will review this application within thirty (30) calendar days after the submittal date of this application.

You will receive a response back regarding this application within forty-five (45) calendar days after the submittal date of this application via the email you include in this application.


Primary Purpose of the Board:

  • Members of the Board acting as a unit are ultimately responsible for the schools accountability viability the overall success of the school and the business affairs and property of the school.
  • The Board ensures that the school is meeting the goals and objectives of the Charter.
  • The Board empowers the Executive Director Business Manager and Principals holding them accountable for compliance performance and achievement.
  • The Board leads in managing both standing and special short-term committees policy oversight fundraising and development and promoting and advancing the schools mission vision values and brand.
  • The Board oversees the Executive Director and Business Manager who ensures fiscal and legal compliance with public education laws and regulations and who reportregularly to the Board to account for all aspects of school operations.

Qualifications:

  • To perform duties of a Board member successfully an individual must be able to perform each Essential Job Function
    satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Requirements and Essential JobFunctions are representative of minimum levels of knowledge skill and/or abilities.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check including criminal history and professional references

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the schools mission vision goals values and brand.
  • Understand and keep up-to-date on public and charter school laws and regulations.
  • Attend a once a month evening regularly scheduled Board meeting and other special Board meetings.
  • Abide by the schools charter bylaws and applicable regulations and laws.
  • Develop goals policy limitations and accountability measures for school officers.
  • Ensure all board members understand the role of the Board.
  • Manage conflicts of interest including the inherent conflict of being a Boardmember and parent if applicable.
  • Assess the quality of the schools academic program and monitor results.
  • Monitor Board actions for effectiveness efficiency and compliance with lawpolicy and good practice.
  • Represent the school at school community and public events.
  • Attend Board development training.
  • Actively serve on Board appointed standing committees and as needed special short-term committees.
  • Recruit and orient new Board members as needed
