  • Early Start Early Finish (Mon - Fri 4.30am to 1.00pm).

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Control Assistant to join the site team. Reporting to the QA Manager the role will be responsible to ensure that all the critical control points and quality control is monitored during production so that defects can be identified early in the process followed by appropriate actions before product can be released.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring production process through routine visual inspection of the products
  • Conduct and record Scale calibration checks Metal checks Gas analyzer checks Air temperature checks Thermometer verification checks Label checks Product assessment etc.
  • Record all findings file daily records systematically for traceability and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
  • Complete Black Bag (foreign body) audits.
  • Ensure Factory compliance to GMP.
  • Working closely with production to ensure delivery of high-quality products.
  • Any other duties necessary to ensure the responsibilities of the role are executed.

About You:

You will have:

  • HACCP or Food Safety Training
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous Experience in the food industry such as seafood meat or poultry or in food safety inspection will be highly regarded.
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Sound understanding of WHS protocols.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment in cold temperatures.
  • High standards of accuracy and precision
  • Results oriented approach High attention to detail self-motivated focused and reliable.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
