Your Role
As the Quality Officer on a 12-month fixed-term basis you will effectively triage our organisational client incident and concern reporting system ensuring the communication of urgent incidents to the delegated authorities (including reportable incidents and restrictive practice) and identifying and escalating immediate risks in accordance with the relevant procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement optimisation of client incident and concern management
- Complete prompt and effective communication with the NDIS Commission and other external agencies on reportable client incidents
- Support the Serious Complaint Management System and processes
- Completion of monthly management reporting
- Champion a strong quality culture by monitoring and developing controls and operational procedures through effective corrective or preventative risk management
- Effectively support estaras internal and external audit processes
- Provide timely and accurate administrative support within the Quality team remit (and broader P&C team where required)

Your capabilities
Essential
- Knowledge of the disability industry and NDIS Quality and Safeguarding frameworks
- Strong attention to detail and analytical approach to data review
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and maintain a high level of customer service
- Ability to work effectively in an autonomous role
- Ability to respond with empathy and maintain calm in stressful circumstances
- Problem-solving and time management skills
Desirable
- Training in Quality Management Systems and/or Assurance
- Experience within the Disability sector
- Demonstrated experience with quality assurance
- Knowledge of NDIS worker and quality and safeguarding requirements
Special Conditions
- Current South Australian full drivers licence is essential
- DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening and any relevant Screenings as stipulated by DHS/NDIS with at least 6 months validity
- Intrastate travel and work outside of normal business hours as required
