Position overview:
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services Division Bureau Medical Eligibility and Special Programs (BMESP) is seeking to hire an eligibility policy writer to develop and maintain medical eligibility policies for Medicaid CHIP and related programs for operationalization in the Integrated Eligibility System (IES) and publication in OneNet.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze and interpret state and federal legislation and administrative rules and develop well-written policy and worker action guides (procedures) for caseworkers evaluating benefit applications in IES. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team-based environment with within and across organizations and demonstrate effective verbal and written communications skills when representing HFS.
