We are looking for a Supply Chain Quality Engineer to join our team at Dayton-Granger Inc. an aerospace and aviation component manufacturer based in Fort Lauderdale FL. In this role youll be responsible for ensuring quality compliance and continuous improvement across both our external supplier network and internal material flow. This is a cross-functional position supporting Procurement Manufacturing Planning and Logisticsideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced regulated environment and enjoys problem-solving across every phase of the supply chain. Bachelors Degree in Engineering Supply Chain or Quality Management.
3 years of experience in quality or supply chain engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and quality systems (AS9100 ISO 9001).
Hands-on experience with supplier audits root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPC Excel Minitab or equivalent).
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Experience in aerospace defense or other regulated manufacturing industries.
APICS or ASQ certifications (e.g. CPIM CQE CQA).
Familiarity with ERP and material traceability systems.
Qualify and evaluate new and existing suppliers through audits and capability assessments.
Monitor and drive improvements in supplier KPIs (PPM OTD NCRs).
Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective/preventive actions.
Manage and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and PPAPs per AS9102 and customer requirements.
Ensure compliance with AS9100 FAA and customer-specific quality standards across the supply chain.
Audit and optimize internal material handling warehousing inventory accuracy and process adherence.
Oversee quality assurance for internal material movement including receiving kitting and transfers.
Support MRB processes and resolve non-conforming material issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Procurement Manufacturing and Planning teams to ensure seamless material flow and reduce quality risks.
Support internal and external quality audits and maintain documentation for full traceability.
Participate in PFMEA and other proactive quality planning initiatives.
Lead efforts to identify and eliminate waste improve supply chain robustness and enhance internal metrics such as inventory turnover and scrap rate.
Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
Follow all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director.
